ALLEN, GREG
Greg, a banjo player, and his brother Harley were the most interested in bluegrass of the four sons of Red Allen. They eventually talked the other two, Neal and Ronnie, into forming the Allen Brothers. After Neal passed away and Harley left for Nashville, Greg and Ronnie played around the Dayton area, including at the Stockyards Restaurant on Springfield Street. In 2016, Greg was giving banjo, mandolin, and guitar lessons and had developed “The Greg Allen Banjo Method,” which he was marketing through his website, and was selling custom picks as well as doing instrument repair work.
