BARGER, AUDREY (-C. 1992)

Audrey Barger was born in Hyden, Kentucky, later came to Ohio, and eventually lived near Oxford in the early 1980s. At that time, she was devoting full time to her music, playing shows around the southwestern Ohio area and recording two self-produced LPs as the Audrey Barger Band. Guest musicians on those recordings included Red Allen and his sons, the Allen Brothers.
