CROWE, ELAINE “MA CROW”

Ma Crow, as she prefers to be called, came to Cincinnati from Scott County, Tennessee. A guitar player and lead singer, she played in Katie Laur ’s All Girl Bluegrass Band, Ma Crow and the Flock, Ma Crow and the Medicine Show, the Motherpluckers, and in 2016 was playing in Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers. She appeared on at least six CDs with the Flock, one with Katie Laur’s All Girl Bluegrass Band, and numerous other various-artist CDs. She did a solo CD, Smoky Junction, in 2011 using the musicians who would become the Lady Slippers, plus other Cincinnati area players.
