DUNCAN, WILLARD (1931-2012)

Born in Tennessee, Willard Duncan got his start in music playing on the Cas Walker Show in Knoxville. When he moved to the Cincinnati area, he played with Earl Taylor and other groups, including the Tennessee Grass. In the late 1960s, he organized a gospel group, the Scott County Tennesseans, later known as the Scott County Quartet, with which he was active until his death.
