EMIG, TRINA

Trina Emig is a multi-instrumentalist, playing banjo, mandolin, guitar, bass, drums, and kazoo. Her primary instrument is the banjo. In 2012, she published a banjo instruction book entitled Becoming Banjo Worthy. With Dobro player Jim Huey, she recorded an instrumental album, A Reason to Play, in 2004. She has been a member of Vernon McIntyre’s Appalachian Grass, Missy Werner and Next In Line, Kentucky 31, Katie Laur’s All-Girl Bluegrass Band, Ma Crow and the Medicine Show, the Motherpluckers, and recorded with Dr. Twang and the Stainless Steel. In 2016, she is a member of Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers.
