LUESSEN, WAYNE
In the 1970s and 1980s, Wayne Luessen played lead guitar with Muddy River. In recent years, he has been playing in the Cincinnati area with several combos. He is a member of a gospel trio, the Good News Boys, with long-time Bobby Mackey bass player Ernie Vaughn, who sings lead and Rick Marksberry, who sings tenor (Wayne sings baritone). The group has two CDs: Church At the End of the Road and We Need To Pray. He is in the country band Six Pac, where he does vocals, plays mandolin, piano, and guitar. He is in a duet with Emily Hogeback doing acoustic music, a duet with Rick Marksberry doing all kinds of American popular music, and a duet with Judi Franceschina doing big band and popular music.
