Newfound Road

Originally headquartered in Franklin, NewFound Road was organized in 2001 by Tim Shelton. The original band was Tim on lead vocals and guitar, Rob Baker on mandolin, Jr. Williams on banjo, and Tim Caudill on bass. NewFound Road began as a bluegrass gospel band but with their third CD they transitioned into a more secular bluegrass band, although they continued to include gospel in their repertoire. Later members included Randy Barnes, Jamey Booher, Joe Booher, and Josh Miller. Before the group disbanded in 2013, they had issued six CDs, three on the Mountain Home label and three on Rounder.
