Nightflyer

A Cincinnati band active in 2016, it manages to be both contemporary and traditional. The band was named after Tony Rice’s song. The original members are still with the band and include Richard Propps, guitar and lead singer who has roots in Southern Gospel; Rick Hayes, mandolin, who worked with Blue and Lonesome and the Gibson Brothers; Tony Kakaris, bass and baritone vocals, who helped form Buckeye Ridge with luthier Al Jamison; Tim Jackson, Dobro, who worked with Dwight McCall and with Miami Road; Ronnie Stewart, banjo and tenor and lead vocals. They have two albums, Nightflyer, issued in 2012 and Rail, River and Road, issued in 2014.
