RAPER, SHERRILL (SHERRILL WILLIAMS) (1934-1999)
Sherrill Raper was doing duets with Frank Wakefield at various revivals in the early 1950s. He reportedly played banjo with Red Allen and Johnny McKee. Later on, he played bass in country bands, including those of Bobby Bare and Herbie Smith. He managed several bars in Dayton including the Clock Lounge, the Peeping Tom, and the Showboat.
