RISNER, SCOTT (c.1962-)

Scott Risner was born in a log cabin near Verona, Kentucky, and learned both mandolin and guitar. He has played bluegrass in the Cincinnati area with the Comet Bluegrass All-Stars, Prospect Hill, the Lazy Boys, the Catalog Cowboys, and more recently with Buffalo Wabs and the Price Hill Hustle. In the early 1990s, he worked with J.D. Crowe and the New South and in 2013 with Them There Mountain Boys.
