ROSSBACH, JOHN (1954-)
A flat-picking guitarist, mandolin player, and singer, John Rossbach worked with Willard Duncan and the Tennessee Bluegrass Boys and Don Thomas and the River City Grass in Cincinnati. According to John, he was a co-founder of Buckeye Ridge in 1978 and the Ohio Valley Rounders in 1980 before relocating to central New York to found his own band, John Rossbach and Chestnut Grove. He also recorded on Rounder with Mac Benford and the Woodshed All-Stars. He eventually returned to his home state of West Virginia to teach at the Augusta Heritage Center.
