ROTHMAN, SANDY (1946-)

Born in Miami, Florida, Sandy Rothman was in Cincinnati in 1968 , playing and recording with Earl Taylor and the Stoney Mountain Boys. Primarily a banjo player, he also plays mandolin, guitar, and Dobro. While in Ohio, he also played with Wayne Lewis and with Tom Ewing. He had been in the San Francisco area and moved back there to work on various projects with his friend Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. In 2010, he co-produced and performed on the Jesse McReynolds CD Songs of the Grateful Dead-A Salute to Jerry Garcia.
