SHELTON, TIM

Tim Shelton was a member of the southwestern Ohio gospel group, The Beacons. He also worked as a deejay at WBZI in Xenia and sang lead and played guitar in the WBZI Bluegrass Band. In 2000, he did a solo gospel album on which he was backed by the Isaacs. In 2001, he organized NewFound Road, which began as a bluegrass gospel group but eventually moved into secular music. NewFound Road ceased to exist in 2013 and Tim moved into a solo career. He decided on a more eclectic approach to the music and issued a CD in 2015 titled Jackson Browne Revisited.
