A multi-talented entertainer, Doug Smith is the lead singer and guitar player for the old-time band the Corndrinkers. He also plays acoustic Hawaiian guitar. He and Barb Kuhns and Floyd Alexander called themselves the Harmony Islanders when they played at Books and Co. on numerous Sunday afternoons. They also played at the Aloha International Steel Guitar Club conventions in Winchester, Indiana, and the Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association Festivals in Joliet, Illinois, and at Dayton’s Cityfolk Festivals. In addition, he is an accomplished cowboy rope spinner.
